A Birder’s Guide to the Iowa and Cedar River Valleys
Welcome to the Birder’s Guide to the Iowa and Cedar Valleys. This online reference provides updated birding lists, maps and lists of area businesses. This site is meant to provide updates to the information contained in the Birder’s Guide to the Iowa and Cedar River Valleys, published by the Iowa Valley RC&D.
How to Use this Site:
Each of the six counties covered by the Birder’s Guide (Benton, Iowa, Johnson, Linn, Poweshiek and Tama) has its own page with a map of birding sites in that county. Below each county map is a list of birds, organized by birding site. These lists are updated on a regular basis. If you have any additions to make to a particular list for a site, please email info@ivrcd.org with the information.
A JPEG of a map of all six counties, with birding sites indicated as well as a list of area small businesses serving the needs of birders is available by clicking here.
To purchase the full color, 62 page guide featuring descriptions and directions for nearly 40 birding sites, contact information for the entities responsible for those sites, beautiful photographs by area birders, visit our online store at http://ivrcd.org/onlinestore.php
